My life has been a tapestry woven with threads of resilience, gratitude, and a persistent entrepreneurial spirit. From a childhood fascination with mysteries – a fascination that continues to this day – to navigating unexpected challenges, my journey has been one of continuous learning and growth. Even as a toddler, I displayed an inquisitive nature, creating my version of stories, foreshadowing my lifelong love of mysteries and problem-solving.

My early experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for the value of hard work. Living with my grandparents during my formative years taught me the importance of diligence and the satisfaction derived from a job well done. This appreciation for work, coupled with a natural curiosity, led me to explore a diverse range of careers. From the fast-paced environment of restaurant management, where I honed my skills in customer service and team leadership, to the detail-oriented world of pharmacy technician, I embraced each opportunity as a chance to learn and grow. These experiences provided a solid foundation for my future entrepreneurial endeavors.

The entrepreneurial bug bit early. As a child, I crafted and sold jewelry door-to-door, experiencing the thrill of independent business ownership for the first time. This early success fueled my passion for creating and building, and I continued to seek out opportunities to develop my skills and expand my horizons. Tutoring fellow students further solidified my understanding of the importance of education and the satisfaction of helping others succeed.

My career path took an unexpected turn when I started a family. The demands of balancing work and family life presented significant challenges, forcing me to re evaluate my priorities and seek a better work-life balance. This search for equilibrium became a recurring theme throughout my career, shaping my approach to work and my understanding of the importance of personal well-being.

A major turning point came in 2001 when a fall resulted in a serious hip injury. Years later, the injury worsened, and I also developed cataracts, leading to a year of legal blindness. This period was undoubtedly challenging, but it also proved to be a profound time of spiritual growth. My faith deepened, and I learned invaluable lessons about gratitude and resilience. During this difficult time, I discovered the power of maintaining a positive attitude and finding reasons to be thankful even amidst adversity. This practice of gratitude became a cornerstone of my approach to life, helping me navigate future challenges with grace and determination.

My entrepreneurial spirit remained undeterred. In 2002, I embarked on a journey in direct sales. This proved to be a truly rewarding experience. Not only did I achieve significant success, becoming the top-performing representative in my district during my first year, but I also built strong relationships with my customers and team members. The loyalty and support of my team helped me overcome the challenges of my visual impairment, allowing me to continue providing for my family and nurturing my entrepreneurial passion. The experience also taught me the importance of teamwork, mentorship, and building a supportive community.

My curiosity led me to explore other opportunities. I worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, enjoying the fast-paced environment and the chance to help people understand their medications. While I found this work fulfilling, a subsequent role in a disease management program proved to be less satisfying. The telemarketing nature of the position didn’t align with my values, highlighting the importance of finding work that truly resonates with one’s passions and skills.

In 2018, persistent hip pain forced me to re-evaluate my career path, but it turns out that I’m not very good at retirement. I discovered a new calling: helping others find franchise opportunities that align with their passions and create their own “best-blessed work.” This work is deeply fulfilling, allowing me to combine my entrepreneurial experience with my desire to help others achieve their dreams. It’s a testament to the power of perseverance, gratitude, and a belief in the potential of every individual to create a life of purpose and fulfillment.
